Making a difference on Nelson Mandela Day

“We can change the world and make it a better place. It is in your hands to make a difference.” Nelson Mandela

On the 18th July 2013, the Cosatto team celebrated Nelson Mandela’s 95th birthday by donating 67 minutes to make toys for Cotlands, a non-profit organisation that provides disadvantaged children with effective, high impact health, psychosocial and early learning play based development opportunities to help them thrive. (To learn more about Cotlands and the fantastic work they do, please visit http://www.cotlands.org.za.)

The team enjoyed making a number of different toys including domino sets, mobiles, paper dolls as well as sensory bags and face cards. All these toys will help Cotland’s in their mission to provide children with early learning opportunities. As Nelson Mandela once said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
